Personally as Ramadan ended, it was a month of highs and lows where I felt a bit disconnected to the world. It does turn into this duality of less noise and more peace, yet feeling the claustrophobic nature of not getting out much.
I have to admit this sense of “lockdown behavior” admittedly reminded me to slow down and focus, and with Eid here I’m feeling this renewed energy that is just pulsing!
I have a feeling that the next month of books would continue it’s positive April stride! I’ve had the privilege to get my hands on some completely new reads and authors that I found fantastic. One of the best feelings in the world is falling in love with new stories and authors.
I have a couple of longer in-depth reviews lined up but in a nutshell here’s what I thought!

Love From A to Z by S.K. Ali

The Return of Faraz Ali by Amina Ahmed

Sea of Tranquility by Emily St.John Mandel
Some May Releases that Look Divine

Book Lovers by Emily Henry
Why? It’s an enemies to lovers romance between two bookish people…literally my fantasy.

Twin Crowns by Catherine Doyle and Katherine Webber
Why? The Parent Trap x The Prince and the Pauper but throw in some royal drama, a handsome palace guard and a charming kidnapper…I’m so invested in this.

The Merciless Ones by Namina Ford
Why? I’ve read book one and enjoyed it! So I’m eager to continue Deka’s journey (especially after that ending of events!).

The Change by Kirsten Miller
Why? I’m so intrigued by the synopsis, it’s Big Little Lies with magic realism and a murder investigation.

Murder for the Modern Girl by Kendall Kulper
Why? It’s set in dazzling 1920s Chicago, our main character is the vigilante killer who also manages to fall in love with the forensic expert looking to uncover her secret… Talk about complicated.
