TTT | Books You Can Read in One Day (Or One Setting!)

This is part TBR post, part books recommendations. You’ve got a good collection of short stories, contemporaries, thrillers, and even poetry in today’s TTT. Pretty random but great!

TTT is a fun bookish weekly meme created by theartsyreadergirl where you list your top 10s based on a different theme each week. I’ll link up her TTT if you would like to participate or know more.

*Little Note: I have an affiliate link to the books mentioned in the post, at no extra cost if you decide to buy via the link, your book blogger here gets a commission 😊

Books You Can Read in One Day (Or One Setting!)

One of Us is Lying by Karen McManus

Easy read that’ll get you easily mesmerized. I described it as ” A more bloody breakfast club meets pretty little liars YA novel”.

Field Notes on Love by Jennifer E. Smith

This was adorable yet heartfelt at the same time. You have the good feel humor you get in 2000s romcoms but with a little bit of classic romance.

The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

I could read this book again and again, and never tire of it. Brilliant. In short it depicts the human condition through the eyes of our dreamy “hero”.

Ayesha at Last by Uzma Jalaluddin

I recently did a review on this one! My new favorite comfort read with beautiful representation. I loved it so much, and the drama and romance is sure to keep you up all night reading!

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson

Mysteries are one of the best books to get you both out of a reading slump and make you finish a book in a day. The different media and text formats in the book really changed things for the better.

The Sun and Her Flowers by Rupi Kaur (Or Any poetry book for that matter)

Poetry books are my go to if I wanted to catch up on my Goodreads challenge, but slowly I’m starting to understand them? It’s difficult to explain but I never was into poetry and much preferred prose.

The Ivies by Alexa Donne

One of my favorite reads this year! Utterly addictive and compelling; you won’t be able to put this one down.

Hungry Hearts: : 13 Tales of Food & Love by Various Authors (Or any other short stories collections)

Short stories collections like these are a great way to make you think you read more due to the short chapters. And there are loads of themes you can pick from: summer, winter, and even vampires.

The Search by Tiffani Velex

I was approached by the lovely author to review her novella, and I must say I was taken aback. This is a really profound historical fic love story that is inspired by the author’s actual grandmother and grandfather.

The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon

Nicola Yoon’s writing is unparalleled especially when it comes to star crossed lovers in YA romance. Her novels have a semblance of sorrow but it makes you realize that life is about the simple things. I devoured this in a day.

Thanks for reading! Are any of these books on your TBR?

If you wrote a TTT, link up your post below. I would love to check them out!

    1. I loved that is was a children’s’ story that is not exactly a children’s’ story? It is a philosophical reflection on the state of human nature and is an allegory to how adults function and live on Earth. The six characters you meet are all reflections to different types of humans you meet on Earth (and you may be even one of them). I love stories like that.

    1. I could not put that book down, I swear it has to have some sort of spell. Highly enjoyable and the same goes to The Sun is Also a Star. Her latest read is also so good! It’s called Instructions for Dancing. Thanks for reading Kaya 😊❤️
