Well this week’s TTT is putting me on full blast π
I’m no stranger for waiting till a certain book arrives but then as soon as it does, I’m not in the mood to read it. I can also count a few books on my TBR who are glaring at me right now for putting them on hold.
TTT is a fun bookish weekly meme created by theartsyreadergirl where you list your top 10s based on a different theme each week. Iβll link up her TTT if you would like to participate or know more.

Books I Meant to Read in 2020 but I didn’t Get To

Permanent Record by Mary H.K. Choi
I had the audacity to say this was part of my top 3 priority books on my TBR in the Stuck at Home Book tag and I ended up not reading it at all π

City of Brass by S.A. Chakraborty
I heard so many great things about this series and apparently it delivered a satisfying ending to the trilogy according to the reviews I’ve seen.

Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalco
As much as I would like to read this one, I’m kind of thinking about starting the Ripper series first.

The Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
Another book that I’ve heard amazing things about but I’ll probably read it later at near the end of the year where I’m much more prone to read thriller and mysteries.

Teen Titans: Beast Boy by Kami Garcia
I want to read this before the third installment releases this year!

A Curse so Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer
Omg this book has been on my TBR for AGES.

Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin
And this oneβ¦.

The Shadows Between Us by Tricia Levenseller
I really wanted read this last year but a lot of the mixed reviews kind of put me off the bookβ¦so I’m not even sure about this one anymore.

Beach Read by Emily Henry
Another popular book I never really got the chance to read, and I remember feeling so left out when this was all the hype.

Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Read
I made such a big fuss about having this book shipment come in time because I was so excited to read this! I’ve never read anything like it before so I was definitely intrigued, of course it got shelved in the end π
To be completely honest, I haven’t heard of most of these books. However, I though City of Brass was really good. It was refreshing to see high fantasy that wasn’t Euro-centric. Also, I wasn’t personally particularly impressed with Kingdom of the Wicked, although I have heard that the Ripper series was better.

I heard the same about Kingdom of the Wicked! That’s why I’m leaning towards the Ripper series.
