This week’s TTT focused on a seasonal TBR for the winter. While I did that last week for the holiday freebi one, I decided to take a look at some of movie characters in some of my fav winter themed rom com movies! Then I paired books with these characters based on what I think they’d have on their Amazon wishlist.
I hope you guys enjoy the twist on this week’s TTT!

Top Books Found on These Movie Characters’ Holiday Amazon Wishlists

Prime Minister David , Love Actually

Book Choice: Women Don’t Owe You Pretty by Florence Given
I could totally see PM David getting down with a feminist read as he debates gender equality at parliament, and let’s be honest Natalie would have totally recommended this to him!
Other books on his Amazon wishlist:
- No One is Too Small to Make a Difference by Greta Thurnberg
- Doughnut Economics: Seven Ways to Think Like a 21st-Century Economist by Kate Raworth

Kevin , Home Alone

Book Choice: Wreck This Journal by Keri Smith
I find it very unlikely for Kevin to just sit back by the fireplace and read a book, but an interactive journal with lot’s of wrecking and causing havoc? Sounds about right.
Other books on his Amazon wishlist:
- The Dangerous Book for Boys by Conn Iggulden, Hal Iggulden.
- The Kids’ Guide to Pranks, Tricks, and Practical Jokes by Sheri Bell-Rehwoldt.

Iris, The Holiday

Book Choice: In Five Years by Rebecca Serle
Iris is such a hopeless romantic so anything with winter and romance in the synopsis I feel she’ll pick it up straight away.
Other books on her Amazon wishlist:
- Nicholas Sparks Collection.
- Blue by Danielle Steel.

Amy Stone, The Family Stone

Book Choice: Fangs by Sarah Andersen
Oh yes, our Amy is a massive fan of the vampire trope and basically anything that is gothic.
Other books on her Amazon Wishlist:
- Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Part 1 by Hirohiko Araki.
- Vampires Never Get Old: Tales with a Fresh Bite by Various Authors.

Elsa, Frozen

Book Choice: Shielded by Kaylynn Flanders
Elsa strikes me as someone who enjoys epic high fantasy and if it has a strong female protagonist even better, she’s always whisking herself into one adventure than another.
Other books on her Amazon wishlist:
- Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas.
- The Princess Will Save You by Sarah Henning.

Miles, The Holiday

Jamie, Love Actually

Book Choice: The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman
Of course our awkward writer Jamie would only pick suspense thrillers and crime fiction even though he wouldn’t dare hurt a fly.
Other books on his Amazon wishlist:
- The Searcher by Tana French.
- The Devil and the Dark Water by Stuart Turton.

Stacey DeNovo, The Princess Switch

Book Choice: Battle Royal by Lucy Parker
Stacy DeNovo loves Hallmark movies and you will most likely find her binge watching “The Great British Bake off” (you didn’t think she magically nailed that British accent did you?) So a book with cupcake wars AND romance? This book was made for her.
Other books on her Amazon wishlist:
- Kisses and Croissants by Anne-Sophie Jouhanneau.
- Hot British Boyfriend by Kristy Boyce.

Susan Pevensie, The Chronicles of Narnia

Book Choice: The Left-Handed Booksellers of London by Garth Nix.
I had to include the spiritual mother of my HP house Ravenclaw. Susan being Susan she’ll most likely read books about books!
Other books on her Amazon wishlist:
- The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E.Schwab.
- The Midnight Library by Matt Haig.

Rose, Titanic

Book Choice: The Poppy and the Rose by Ashlee Cowles
You know how much I like to suffer with star crossed lovers and tragedy so I had to include Rose in this (and yes there was space for BOTH OF THEM). And did I choose a Titanic retelling? Why yes, yes I did.
Other books on her Amazon wishlist:
- Gilding the Lily by Rita Bradshaw.
- The Dance of Love by Angela Young.
You did a marvellous job with this post. So creative!

Thank you so much! These 2-3 movies are literally the only movies I watch that are in any way seasonal 😂 So you’re not the only one.
I watched The Holiday this year and I loved it!!

Oh this is such a unique festive idea, I love it! 🥰 I love the Home Alone movies and you mentioning Wreck This Journal reminded me of the good old days when me and all my friends used to have it 😄

Thank you! Omg same here, all of us were obsessed with these journals and I remember feeling so bad when the instruction was to rip out a page. I couldn’t do that to a book! 😂🙈
