Black Friday Book Haul | I Wish This Never Happened

Soooo I may have splurged on this year’s Black Friday, and I don’t know how much longer I can use the “it’s a pandemic” excuse much longer…

So now my wallet has pretty much burned a hole, my TBR is not getting any shorter, and my shelves are suffocating with the books I bought. But I got new books! Yayyyy!!

Seriously though don’t follow my example and either set a list prior to buying or a budget at least 😂 😭

Here are the Books!

So the books are mainly YA, but I bought my first physical graphic novels (I’ve only started getting into them this year and I can’t believe how much I’ve missed out!). Here’s all of them:

The Paper Magician by Charlie N Holmberg

Genre | Fantasy, Fiction

Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens

Genre | Historical Fiction, Mystery

All Your Twisted Secrets by Diana Urban

Genre | YA, Mystery, Thriller

Book The Beast Player by Nahoko Uehashi

Genre | Fantasy, YA, Asian Literature

The Shadows by Alex North

Genre | Horror, Thriller, Mystery

Teen Titans: Beast Boy by Kami Garcia

Genre | Comics, YA, Superheroes

Teen Titans: Raven by Kami Garcia

Genre | Comics, YA, Superheroes

Pumpkinheads by Rainbow Rowell

Genre | YA, Romance, Contemporary

Wicked Saints by Emily Duncan

Genre | Fiction, YA, Fantasy

The Dressmaker’s Gift by Fiona Valpy

Genre | Historical Fiction, World War II

Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalco

Genre | Fantasy, YA, Paranormal

Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco

Genre | Historical Fiction, Mystery, YA

The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins

Genre | YA, Sci-Fi, Dystopia

The Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes

Genre | YA, Mystery, Contemporary

Get Coding! by Young Rewired State

Genre | Non Fiction, Middle Grade, Coding

Most excited to read? I’ve always wanted to read Pumpkinheads, currently I’m reading Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo so if I’m in the mood next for something light hearted I would go with that if not than I’d most likely pick up The Inheritance Games or Stalking Jack the Ripper.

There you have it! Phew that’s a lot of books…

Have you read any of these? Did you shop for books on Black Friday?

  1. In my country there weren’t any black friday sales on books, unfortunately! BUT OMG I spot so many good books in your haul!! I really need a physical copy of Kingdom of the wicked haha

  2. Wow that is a lot of books! I guess you can only do so much in a pandemic, one must go raid a library for new reads… or make the most of cheaper books! Needs must heh
