I was tagged by the coolest ever Riddhi @ Whispering Stories on her Halloween Song Tag and Halloween Movie Tag, so thank you for tagging me!
As mentioned I don’t celebrate Halloween but I do love spooky stuff! Really liked the tag and since I did a Halloween inspired movie post, I figured I would stick with the song tag for this one.
The Halloween Song tag is orginally created by A Beautiful Chaos of Book. So do check her video and channel out!
Here’s also the Spotify playlist with all of the songs. Right let’s get into the tag!

Thriller: A book that was an absolute page turner
An Ember in the Ashes by Sabba Tahir
I just could not put that book down and it’s been a while since a good fantasy book has sucked me in. I read this as part of Becca’s September Bookoplathon and it was so good!

Somebody’s Watching Me: A book that gave you the serious creeps
American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis
This is one of the books that I’ll never forget, when I tell you never has a book made me feel so physcially nauseated. It was too graphic and an uneasy read to me.

Vampire: A book you hated so much it was soul sucking
Perfume: The Story of a Murderer by Patrick Suskind
I just couldn’t get through the author’s writing style and even though it’s not a long book, the book just dragged on and on. Sad because the synopsis and title is so intriguing.

I Put a Spell on You: A book featuring witchcraft or magic
The Toymakers by Robert Dinsdale
A popular choice would be the HP series but I’ll recommend one of my favorite books instead: The Toymakers by Robert Dinsdale. I aboslutely adored this book, this is perfect if you’ve loved the lyrical writing and whimiscal air of magic found in The Night Circus.

This is Halloween: You’re favourite treat/snack to eat while reading
I don’t have a specific one but I must have a cup of caffeine (either coffee or tea) and a sweet treat because I have a major sweet tooth!

Time Wrap: What book/books do you like to return this year?
I’d have to go with R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps books, they’re a classic! Also the Nancy Drew series would be nice to have revived again, it’s one of the first books that introduced me into the mystery genre.

Hungry Like a Wolf: A book you loved so much, you devoured.
The TOG Series by Sarah J Maas
Once I started I just couldn’t put them down!

The Addams Family: A book featuring a dysfunctional family.
Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan
I mean come on, do I need to say more? 😂

Scary Monsters (And Super Creeps): A book genre that you are scared or intimidated to pick up.
Any horror books that deal with dead spirits and real scares like The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson.

The Twilight Zone: A book with a completely different and unique premise.
The Illuminae series by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
I wouldn’t call the concept “original”, space adventures have been done before but the way this book was presented with art, file cases, wiki pages was really unique!

I tag
Right so I decided to go for it and tag book bloggers who: a.) Have amazing blogs so check them out! b.) Whom I’m curious to know what are their answers! (Don’t feel obligated though guys, just ignore me if you don’t want to do it 😂🙈)
▪️Simone @ Leafing through Time
▪️Cherelle @ Cherelle the Bibliophile
▪️Christopher @ Plucked from the Stacks
▪️Anyone else who wants to do it!

Ahhhh I keep getting reminded of how good An Ember in the Ashes is, I NEED to pick it up soon for sure!! Aww thank you so much for tagging me but I am so horribly late and it’s out of season so I wouldn’t do it, thank you anyway for thinking of me. ❤

Same I can’t believe it took me this long to pick up the series, but hopefully you’ll like it as much as I did. And your most welcome! Hahaha hopefully in other tags then!
