Enola Holmes Book Tag

Thank you so much for Breda @ Leafing Through Time  for tagging me! Tag aside, this should definitely be on your watch list especially during the Fall season. It’s a perfect movie to watch alone, with your friends, or even your family!

Millie Bobbi Brown’s wit, Helena Bonham Carter badassery, BOTH Henry Cavill and Sam Caflin! Talk about dreamy! (Well not really Sam cause he plays Mycroft but still..)

In case you need more convincing, the cinematography is STUNNING.

Enola Holmes : An independent and smart female protagonist

Kady Grant from the illuminae series.

She is such a shorty sassy badass, in fact her and Nik are my favorites from the series! She’s fierceless, strong, and is beyond loyal to her loved ones. Her and Ezra are just adorable; I love how he knows exactly how to get under her skin lol.

Sherlock Holmes : Favorite mystery/thriller book

I’m always down for a murder mystery; they’re definitely one of my favorite genres! I’ll have to go with my current read for this one: A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder. I can’t believe how long it took me to FINALLY read this but I’m really enjoying it so far and I can’t wait to see what kind of ending we’ll have!

Eudoria Holmes : A character that defies the rules of society

Veronica Speedwell from A Curious Beginning

Veronica is anything but conforming. She has her own rules and sets her own pace, not allowing anyone to suggest or even think otherwise. She was a character alright.

Mycroft Holmes : The most annoying character you know

Mare Barrow from the Red Queen series

Where do I even begin? Mare from book one was alright but after that it’s one downhill after another. I swear I’ve never been more relieved to finish off a series this badly and be done with a character.

Lord Tewksbury : A character you want to protect at all costs

Dorian Havillard from TOG series

He is an absolute cinnamon roll that deserves all the sunshine in the world after the horrifying things he’s been in throughout TOG. I absolutely adore him and genuinely think he’s one of the best YA  love interests out there.

Inspector Lestrade : A loyal side character

Professor Lupin from HP series

I always go back to Professor Lupin from the HP series. He’s incredibly loyal, and never did he give up on Sirius even when the rest of the Marauders practically went their own ways and he was left on his own. I just greatly admire the loyalty that exists between Lupin and Sirius.

Miss Harrison : A book that aged like milk

The Divergent series (mainly Insurgent) by Veronica Roth

When I first read this series I thought “okayyy average but I don’t want to break a wall yet”, then I revisited it and I realized how annoying THAT ending is. I just can’t get over it and I feel annoyed every time I think about the books.

Couldn’t find a better pic, but he’s worth the bad pic 🤷🏽‍♀️
Linthorn : A book or character that you hated from the very beginning

Spider woman (I think that’s what she’s called) from The Shadow of the Fox

Gosh that woman. I loathed her even before “seeing” her. You only have a special vile kind of evil if you hurt those beneath your social class, and by “hurt” here I mean burn parts of their flesh and gouge their eye out as a form of “punishment”. Yup. disgusting.

You can read my review of the book here.

Edith : Your Favorite Book with Black Rep

THUG by Angela Thomas

Yes I know this is a hyped book but I swear it is one of the most memorable books I’ve ever read and I’m just in awe of how complex and beautiful our main MC Starr is. I’ve talked about the book here!
