As soon as food walked in the picture I was ready for this TTT, just say “food” and I’m on it.
TTT is curated by theartsyreader so I’ll link up this post to her page if you want to know more or participate 😊
This list contains cookbooks, books that revolve around food, or books that tantalizingly talk/describe food within the book itself.

Top 10 Books that Make Me Hungry

Ottolenghi SIMPLE by Yotam Ottolenghi
Chef Yotam Ottolenghi has one of my favorite cafes in London; he has amazing shakshuka and the most airy and light meringues. These are all dishes that are done in 30 min or less, made for the “lazy”, and in 10 ingredients or less! Perfect for quarantine going back to school/work cooking

The Little Paris Bookshop by Nina George
Okay so the book is not about food at all but at the end of the book the author shares French recipes inspired by the story itself! You get to make and eat dishes that the characters themselves dined on!
TW: Grief

Chocolat by Joanna Harris
I never read the book but I do remember that I watched the movie and found it enjoyable and quite humorous. Side effects include: binging on anything chocolate.
TW: Nothing to note

Hungry Hearts by various authors
A diverse anthology that states in its premise: “Welcome to Hungry Hearts Row, where the answers to most of life’s hard questions are kneaded, rolled, baked” – They’re not wrong though 👀
TW: Again nothing to note but mention in the comments if there’s a potential TW for other fellow readers 🙂

The Unofficial Harry Potter Cookbook by Dinah Bucholz
Now I have a chance to recreate treacle tart, Pumpkin pasties, and Hagrid’s rock cakes! Yessss

Cook for Syria Recipe Book
Clerkenwell Boy is one of my fav foodie instagrammers, what’s amazing is that he teamed up with several chefs to release this cookbook where ALL proceeds go to aiding Syrian refugees affected by the Syrian crisis.

A Half Baked Idea by Olivia Potts
This is a memoir on how Olivia; a hard working barrister, overcomes grief one cake at a time.
TW: Grief, loss of a loved one, depression

A Taste of Sage by Yanos S. Santos
A romance that involves enemies to lovers trope AND is centered around food!? Count me in.
TW: Nothing to note

Vanessa Yu’s Magical Paris Tea Shop by Roselle Lim
It includes a cute tea stall at an antique Parisian market and I could just feel that this might be the book that will make me miss traveling and flea markets even more.
TW: Nothing to note

A Literary Tea Party by Alison Walsh
If you enjoy a nice cup of tea with a slice of cake this book is for you. I can’t believe I didn’t know this existed! The author pairs up famous literary classics like Alice in Wonderland and Narnia with the perfect tea blend and the right treat to go with it! All we need now is some scented candles..
Yes, Chocolat was a wonderful film!

I like books that include recipes inspired by the story. It’s only fair when an author describes a delicious food and makes you want it NOW that they include the recipe 🙂
Happy TTT!

A Literary Tea Party sounds like a fantastic idea! Why hasn’t someone written this book sooner? I’m ashamed to admit that I’ve never read or watched Chocolat. My post

I’ve seen Chocolat so many times now that I swear it’s causing me to crave chocolate. It just looks so yummy on that cover…

I know right, it is this sinful treat. I don’t bother watching the film if I don’t have chocolate in the house; that’s another form of hell 😩
