What? Fabrique Bakery Cafe
Where? 8 Earlham St, West End, WC2H 9RY, London
Tucked away just on the side of the street, this whitewashed Swedish based bakery and cafe is like an obscure quiet nook from the hustle and bustle of the Covent Garden streets outside. It’s chill enough to have a casual conversation and the deeper tables provide a great corner to read or work.
If you get early in the morning, you might catch a waft of cinnamon or the smell of fresh bread baking lain on the counter. A definite must try is their cinnamon buns, apart from being super instragabmmable (I mean look at those knots!) you taste the perfect balance of cinnamon and sugar glaze. It isn’t too sweet so you can definitely have it for breakfast or for your next coffee break. It’s Fabrique’s best seller for a reason. If you can, pack up one of their sourdough breads! So good.
On Sundays, right outside the cafe is Earlham Street market. It’s literally a one street market but you can find some hidden gems: look out for cool fedoras and vinyl records. Close by is also Palace Theatre, home to Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. (That show was phenomenal btw), and yes I dragged my non-Harry-Potter-stan brother and sister with me to watch it too 🙂
Have you ever been to Fabrique? What do you think?
